Has anyone read an Enemy in the Fort? My mom just bought yesterday after I was looking at it and noticed that it takes place near Fort Number 4 in NH which is only about 25 minutes from my house! I've been there twice when I was younger for school trips. I would like to go back and bring one of my dolls there. Is Enemy in the Fort a good book?

Here is the link to Fort Number 4.

Sorry, it's one I haven't read, but that fort looks like a neat place! Thanks for posting the link!

I read it but it was so long ago I can't remember what I thought of it. I think it was one of the better mysteries though. Have you read the book Calico Captive? It is also set at #4.

I haven't been to #4 in a long time but it is neat.

Melissa, PM me your address again and I'll mail you a paperback copy of Calico Captive. I'm drowning in books and it's just collecting dust in a box under my desk.

I don't have any History Mysteries. I stopped buying books long ago.

IMO, it was one of the really good ones. The whole series is excellent, though.

She bought it at Toadstool bookshop

I have quite a few books, though not as many as my mom. I'm mostly drowning in dvds/vhs though-they take up the whole bottom shelf of my bookcase, not to mention my parents recoreded a lot of stuff so there's a bunch in the living room and attic.

Hey, stepshigh01, it's good to see you again! I always enjoy your posts - don't be such a stranger!

By the way, I agree with your opinion about the book Calico Captive.
